Privacy policy.
This page explains what information Vidakovic Digital collects, how we use it, and what choices you have. Written in plain English on purpose.
The short version
Vidakovic Digital is a one-person web design and digital marketing studio. The site you're reading is intentionally minimal in what it collects: visitor analytics (anonymous), and contact form submissions (only if you fill one out).
I don't sell data. I don't share data with advertisers. I don't run pixel trackers from Facebook, TikTok, or anywhere else.
What I collect
When you visit the website
Standard analytics data via Google Analytics 4 — pages viewed, approximate location (city level), browser type, time on site, and how you arrived (e.g., from Google search). This is anonymized and aggregated; I never see individual visitor identities.
When you submit the contact form
Whatever you choose to submit — typically your name, email address, business name, and project details. This information is stored in Netlify Forms (the platform that hosts this site) and emailed to me directly. I use it to reply to you and discuss your project.
When you become a client
Information necessary to deliver our agreed-upon work: business details, billing information, project files, and any credentials you share with me to access third-party platforms (Google Ads, Google Business Profile, hosting accounts, etc.). All credentials are stored in an encrypted password manager.
How I use information
- To respond to your inquiries and deliver services you've engaged me for
- To understand which pages on this site are useful and which aren't
- To send invoices and project updates (only to active clients)
- To comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax reporting)
What I don't do
- I don't sell, rent, or trade your information to third parties
- I don't send marketing emails unless you've explicitly opted in
- I don't use third-party advertising trackers (no Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, etc.)
- I don't store payment information directly — payments are processed via third-party services like Stripe or Interac e-transfer
Cookies
This site uses cookies for two purposes: remembering your light/dark theme preference, and Google Analytics 4 (anonymous traffic measurement). You can disable cookies in your browser settings without breaking the site — only the theme toggle will reset between sessions.
Third-party services I use
- Netlify — hosting and form submissions (privacy policy)
- Google Analytics 4 — anonymous traffic analysis (privacy policy)
- Google Search Console — search performance data
- Namecheap — domain registrar (privacy policy)
For client projects, I may use additional services (e.g., Google Ads, Google Business Profile, Stripe). These are disclosed at the start of any engagement.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you have the right to:
- Know what personal information I have about you
- Request a copy of that information
- Correct it if it's inaccurate
- Request its deletion
- Withdraw consent for its use

Data retention
Contact form submissions are retained for up to 2 years unless you request earlier deletion. Client records are retained as long as legally required for tax and contract purposes (typically 7 years in Canada), then deleted.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13. I don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes meaningfully, I'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page and (for active clients) notify you via email.
